Service Approaches To Fit Your Need

We offer a variety of services to meet your unique needs and schedule. Whether you prefer the comfort and convenience of in-home sessions, the individual focus of outpatient therapy, or the shared support of group therapy, we have service options that meet your needs.

Although we strive to fully meet each client’s unique needs, not every service option is available for each client situation. Learn more about our therapy service options below.

Outpatient

Outpatient programs offer services during the day or early evening, allowing patients to engage in their daily lives simultaneously. Many patients can continue attending work, school, and fulfilling personal commitments while in outpatient treatment. Clients can also opt for telehealth, where they can also benefit from a supportive environment and the comforts of home.

Individuals seeking outpatient mental health treatment in New Jersey can explore various therapies at Beautiful Minds. All treatment programs offer multiple therapy options facilitated by qualified professionals, with each program tailored to meet the specific needs of the patient. Those in our outpatient program may access the following therapies:

Individual Therapy

One-on-one sessions with a qualified therapist, allowing patients to discuss their ongoing successes and challenges.

Group Therapy

In group sessions, patients can learn from and support one another under the guidance of a licensed therapist. This setting fosters strong relationships that contribute to building a mentally healthy life.

Family Therapy

When appropriate, patients and their family members can attend therapy together or separately, led by a licensed therapist. Family therapy can involve small group sessions or individual meetings, addressing family dynamics that impact mental health.

Grief Counseling

This support is available for patients coping with loss.

Couples Therapy

Aimed at enhancing communication within relationships, this therapy can involve individual sessions or joint meetings with a qualified professional.

Evaluations and Assessments

  • Diagnose conditions such as anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, postnatal depression, eating disorders, and psychotic disorders.
  • Differentiate between mental health issues and physical health problems.
  • Evaluate individuals referred due to challenges at school, work, or home.

Substance Use Counseling

Specialized care and support to individuals facing various mental health disorders, primarily those related to dependence on drugs and alcohol. In addition to these challenges, addiction counselors also assist individuals in managing and overcoming other types of addictions, including gambling addiction.

Parent Education

Parents learn how to build and sustain a close, nurturing emotional bond with their children, promoting healthy cognitive, physical, and social/emotional development. They are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to help their children thrive.

In Home

Beautiful Minds offers Intensive In-Home Counseling services delivered by licensed clinical therapists experienced in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and trauma-related therapies, among others. Our therapists are adept at working with children diagnosed with ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and trauma-related disorders.

Services at Beautiful Minds begin with an initial assessment involving your child and family members. Based on this evaluation, a personalized treatment plan is developed. Therapists typically engage with your child for two hours each week, and regular family counseling sessions can be incorporated into the treatment plan upon request.

Our intensive in-home counseling programs are available through private pay, fee-for-service arrangements, and referrals via PerformCare. For more information, please contact us at 609-350-5007.

Group Therapy

Beautiful Minds offers group therapy classes for social skills development and overcoming anxiety. Group therapy combines the therapeutic benefit of guidance from a skilled therapist with the support of a peer group addressing the same issue.

Group therapy can be an excellent way to make positive change. The support of the group along with seeing others make positive changes in their lives can serve as ongoing motivation for all group members.

Social Skills

Social skills groups consist of small groups, usually comprising two to eight children, guided by an adult facilitator.

These groups focus on teaching children how to engage effectively with peers of their age, imparting essential conversational, friendship, and problem-solving abilities.

Social skills therapy groups also serve as valuable platforms for helping children manage their emotions and develop empathy towards others’ viewpoints.

Anxiety for Teens

This program focuses on managing anxiety among adolescents, aiding them in overcoming feelings of stress, fear, and worry. It aims to empower teenagers to take charge of their lives by providing strategies for regaining control.

Additionally, parents are equipped with the tools to support their teens in confronting avoidance behaviors and triumphing over anxiety. Ultimately, the program endeavors to foster teen confidence, encouraging them to confront anxiety, act courageously in the face of fear, and resume activities that bring meaning to their lives.

Group sessions are up to 10 participants to maintain a small, intimate group setting.

PSB-CBT

Problematic Sexual Behavior Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (PSB-CBT) is an evidence-based therapy program for teens age 13-18 who have demonstrated problematic sexual behavior, including illegal, abusive, or coercive sexual activity.

The goal of PSB-CBT is to help participants recognize and respect safe boundaries for themselves and others, prevent escalation of behavior, and eliminate problematic sexual behaviors.

PSB-CBT therapy has a strong track record of success in helping participants learn appropriate sexual behavior and modify behavior to a healthy, appropriate standard.
