Child Services

Your child is unique and precious. Every parent wants the best for their child, but sometimes children need a little help in becoming the best version of themselves they can be. Children as young as 3 years old are helped at Beautiful Minds through therapy and behavior assistance services.

Child Therapy

Therapy helps children improve and develop age-appropriate social skills, communication, and coping strategies. Children benefit from a supportive environment with a certified, knowledgeable therapist who can encourage them to develop healthy, positive behaviors.

Our therapists can help your child overcome limitations, address challenges, reduce stress and anxiety, or simply work to develop a healthy self-image and positive outlook. At Beautiful Minds, your child will receive the individual, personalized attention they deserve to develop into a better version of themselves.

Behavioral Assistance

Behavioral assistance helps children build positive behaviors and appropriate responses. Our behavioral assistants work closely with each child and family to implement strategies to manage and improve behavior. Your child’s plan will be tailored to their individual needs and capabilities. This plan may include teaching new skills, improving communication, developing better relationships, and learning new approaches to situations.

Adolescent Services

Adolescence is a challenging time of rapid growth and adjustment. Today’s youth must navigate a complex landscape of ideas, emotions, media, social situations, and relationships that can feel overwhelming at times. Having a safe space to discuss these experiences with a trusted counselor can help youth learn how to navigate this landscape with confidence and courage.

Adolescent Therapy

Adolescent therapy provides a structure of support, encouragement, and guidance to help youth navigate the uncertainties and challenges that come with adolescence. Our certified therapists are skilled at helping youth discover their own, individual personal growth and self-improvement journey, supported by our evidence-based therapy services. Our approach values the innate self-worth of every youth we work with, while helping them realize a better version of themselves.

Behavioral Assistance

Behavioral assistance helps youth to build positive behaviors and appropriate responses. Our behavioral assistants work closely with each youth, their family members, and therapist to create strategies that develop positive behavior. Each plan is tailored to each individual’s specific needs and capabilities. This plan may include teaching new skills, improving communication, developing better relationships, and learning new approaches to situations.

New Parents

Raising a child can be challenging for even the most prepared parents. Raising a child experiencing mental, emotional, or behavioral difficulties makes it even more challenging.

New parent services help parents better understand their child’s unique needs and how to manage them. Parents learn about their child’s individual needs and their own roles and responsibilities to assist their child. New parent services give parents valuable tools that help them to better help their child.

  • Learn valuable parenting skills for their unique situation
  • Become aware and make use of community resources
  • Learn strategies which improve family functioning
  • Address relationship impacts on siblings or other family members
  • Process emotions in a safe environment

Families

Family therapy aims to improve interactions between family members, which can help reduce distress and conflicts in family relationships. Family therapy explicitly recognizes the interconnected nature of mental, emotional, or behavioral issues on the entire family and works to resolve issues together.

Family relationships play an important role in the mental health of each family member, and family therapy seeks to strengthen those relationships by improving communication, systems, and patterns within the family dynamic.

Family therapy helps families overcome challenges such as:

  • Blended family issues
  • Chronic illness
  • Death and grief
  • Financial issues
  • Life transitions
  • Parent-child conflict
  • Separation or divorce
  • Sibling conflict

Adult Therapy

Adult therapy provides a safe, encouraging space to confidentially talk through areas of concern with someone who can help. Our certified therapists act as guides, helping you better understand yourself and helping to interpret thoughts, feelings, and past experiences.

Therapy supports and guides you to make positive changes in your life with the assistance of an expert professional. Our Beautiful Minds providers are skilled at helping individuals with life transitions, personal improvement, overcoming self-limiting thoughts and behaviors, and addressing areas of concern.

With the assistance of a certified therapist, individuals can make progress much faster than they can on their own.

Adult therapy is not limited to a specific set of concerns; it is beneficial for a wide variety of needs, including (among others):

  • ADHD
  • Anger management
  • Anxiety
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Codependency
  • Depression
  • Developmental disorders
  • Grief
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • Self-esteem issues
  • Self-harming
  • Stress
  • Suicidal ideation
  • Trauma and PTSD
